Chikankari stitch: Bakhiya and Jaali

Bakhiya - Cross satin stitch done on the wrong side of the fabric to give a shadow effect on the right side

Jaali - Small stitches that create a mesh or net like pattern on the cloth

This product is hand embroidered at the Amhara studio. Slight differences in embroidery speak to the hand processes involved and add to the uniqueness of the product .
